West Irondequoit Central School District Library-Media Center Renovation

Vaysen Studio facilitated an educational environment strategy study bridge between the educational vision of the district and the educational facilities. To do so, we utilized a multi-phase approach with subsequent phases being determined by Phase 1 as well as by the planning for Capital Improvement Projects. Assessing existing conditions, educational delivery models, grade distributions, curriculum vision and educational goals, this project worked to translate aspirations into tangible and lasting yet adaptable solutions with an implementation plan to enhance all learning environments and the learning experience across the entire district.

Learning Environment Strategy

Currently, Vaysen Studio is in-design for the Library-Media Centers at Rogers Middle School and Iroquois Middle School. The design is the continuation of the process and outcomes of the Educational Environment Master Plan The goals are to transform the Library Media Centers into a contemporary environment that nurtures students’ curiosity within a visually captivating setting. By promoting collaborative efforts among students, we aim to strike a balance between fostering individual growth and providing a secure sanctuary they can call their own. The strategic utilization of color within this space will serve as a catalyst for inspiring a sense of awe and wonder, thereby fostering an environment conducive to innovative thinking and creative exploration.
